Chicken bone broth is often referred to as "liquid gold" for dogs, and for good reason! It’s packed with collagen, amino acids, glucosamine, and chondroitin, all of which contribute to healthy joints, a shiny coat, and improved digestion.
Bone broth is also a gentle way to soothe a dog’s digestive system. The gelatin in bone broth helps heal the gut lining and improve digestion, making it especially beneficial for dogs with leaky gut syndrome or IBS. Bone broth contains minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium, which help strengthen the immune system and keep your dog feeling their best.
Jiggly Broth Gummies:
2 cups of chicken broth*
4 tablespoons of unflavored gelatin (2 packets)
½ teaspoon turmeric powder (optional for anti-inflammatory benefits)
Try adding parsley (for fresh breath), ginger (for digestion), or blueberries (for antioxidants).
Directions:
Pour 2 cups of chicken broth* into a saucepan and heat it over low to medium heat. You want it warm but not boiling. If the broth is too hot, it can destroy some of the beneficial nutrients.
Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over the warm broth while whisking continuously. Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved. This step ensures your gummies set properly. Stir in turmeric, parsley, or other superfoods if using. Stir well to combine.
Once everything is mixed, carefully pour the liquid into silicone molds. If you don’t have molds, you can use a shallow baking dish and cut the gummies into squares later.
Place the molds in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until the mixture firms up. Once fully set, pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
*Ensure that broth is dog-friendly with low-sodium and no additional ingredients including onion, garlic, xylitol, sorbitol, dyes, or preservatives.
